Trustee Candidates' Friendship Has Grown on Crossroads Farm

Updated: Feb 12, 2023

Did you know that Trustee Carl Prizzi and Trustee Candidate Brian Lewis Jr. have volunteered countless hours of blood, sweat and tears to our very own organic Crossroads Farm?

In fact, that's where they developed their strong friendship - by working on many projects, coordinating events and being volunteer board members of the Nassau Land Trust whose mission is to preserve open land throughout Nassau County. Crossroads Farm has certainly grown over the years with the help of Carl, Brian and many other dedicated volunteers. Brian and Carl have worked on many infrastructure projects together including:

  • Installed a new drip irrigation system

  • Built a field hoop house for growing crops

  • Coordinated and help to paint the barn with Boy Scouts and Elite Painting

  • Built new welcome signage and lighting for the barn and bathroom building

  • Creating a playground area for children

  • Constructed multiple hay wagons

  • Built a fire pit

  • Donated important equipment such as trucks for the fields, mowers and other power equipment

In addition, Carl and Brian have invested hundreds of hours to helping with the planning and execution of multiple community events hosted at the Farm for the entire Malverne community to enjoy.

The members of the Malverne for the People Party are very proud and thank Carl and Brian for all of their dedication and hard work in support of Crossroads Farm!
